Hatton Ave Kitchen

During the remodel of this 1939 Tudor style fixer-upper, we encountered three layers of ceiling: plaster and lath, popcorn-textured drywall, and decorative drop ceiling tiles. By stripping away these layers, we reclaimed nearly a foot of ceiling height. I selected a tile pattern for the walls that pays homage to both the character of the original house and the design of my Japanese family's crest. The kitchen features leathered super white quartz slab countertops and black-stained wood cabinets that extend to the 9-foot ceilings—truly a stunning transformation!
